Power Distribution Strategy for an Electric Bus with a Hybrid Energy Storage System

To address the power distribution problem that occurs in hybrid energy storage systems (HESSs) electric vehicles, a fuzzy control method is proposed this paper, taking vehicle demand power; supercapacitor power, PSC;; and lithium battery Pbat, as inputs factor of output to composite system, addition dividing whole working condition into three time scales, namely, long, medium short. In study, we conducted comprehensive analysis comparison with typical methods regarding element state charge (SOC) change, flow diagram frequency. The simulation experiment results show strategy more effective reducing peak battery, improving utilization rate HESS rate. order further verify effectiveness strategy, pure bus system test bench was built based on similar principles, representative period under driving conditions China city (CHTC-B) selected, involving an acceleration process from 30 48 s (process 1), uniform speed 636 671 2) regenerative braking 1290 1304 3), verifying feasibility strategy.
